Day Against TORTURE
This
year the Anti-Torture Day will be observed by JANANEETHI in
association with Department of Economics, St.Aloysius College,
Elthuruth in the college premises. Advocate Faritha Ansari, law
officer of Jananeethi will lead the session
and will interact with the student community on CAT.
Advocate
George Pulikuthiyil, Executive Director of Jananeethi will address
an assembly of community leaders in the Panancherry Panchayath
in Thrissur district on CAT. This open forum will also enter into a
discussion on the scope of a people-friendly police in the
administration of justice.

JANANEETHI CAMPAIGN AGAISNT CHILD LABOUR IN SCHOOLS
“A
Child out of school is a child labourer” – Supreme court of India.
Jananeethi
Institute organized series of awareness sessions in schools and
Block Offices of the District Panchayath against Child Labour and
Child Abuse. Advocate
Seby Joseph Pullely, Advocate Faritha Ansari, Ms. K.K. Radhamani,
Ms. E. Jayasree and Advocate Sojan Job addressed respective assembly
of pupils and teachers’ community on the UN Convention on the
Rights of Child.

Environment Day
JANANEETHI
INSTITUTE CAMPUS DECLARED PLASIC-FREE
In
a concerted and collective effort, the Jananeethi Institute campus
at Mullakkara, Thrissur was thoroughly cleaned off plastic bags and
other plastic products. This was art of its Environment Day
programmes that also included planting of seedlings and tree
siblings in the campus.
