the out going District Collector & District Magistrate of Thrissur.

He will take charge as District Collector and District Magistrate
of Malappuaram District on 27.07.2006.

Shri. Premachandra Kurup was one of the rarest breed of

ethically founded, morally sound, professionally value based, and people friendly public servant who identified himself with the least and the smallest in the society.

He was loved and respected by all, and will be remembered for all times for his HUMANESS, HONESTY, SIMPLICITY, DEDICATION, DUTYFULNESS, TRANSPARENCY AND RELENTLESS FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION.

Representing various organizations and human rights networks, around 40 persons gathered at Costford hall, Thrissur to express our appreciation and gratitude to Shri. Kurup. Each member present personally greeted him with a flower and fondly recollected and reminded him one reason among several why he would be remembered for long in the minds of the people.

IT WAS A TOUCHING EXPERIENCE.

All the flowers tied together and was formed a beautiful bouquet, which was again offered to him by one of the social activists and lone fighter of corruption, Renny Antony, as symbol of our love for Shri. Kurup and his lofty ideals.
