End siege on Gaza; respect Palestinian democracy

JANANEETHI and JANANEETHI INSTITUTE

for research and training in Kerala, India

demand Israeli Government to lift siege on Gaza and

end forthwith all collective punishments

imposed on the civilian population of Gaza.

1.5 million people in Gaza are dying

while the United Nations remain helpless.

They live in darkness, without power, without adequate food

without medication, without the freedom

to escape the entrenchment and

with a powerful, ruthless military

attacking them indiscriminately.

Israel in Gaza, like America in Iraq,

underestimated its enemy.

Palestinians have been tenacious, not merely fighting

but doing so in ways that elude our understanding.

Since the 1993 Oslo accords, there have been

more than 90 suicide bombings.

Israel has responded wisely by erecting a security fence.

It has not responded by pulling out of the West Bank.

But what's true in Gaza is also true in the West Bank.

It is sad; the Israelis have too short a memory.

What they are doing in Gaza today is just the repetition

of what Hitler had done in history to them.

The holocaust continues, now in Gaza by the Jews.
